Who is eligible to participate?

  • Independent and unsigned Hip Hop Pop and R&B artists are eligible to participate.

 

What do I need to qualify to be on the show?

  • To qualify to be on the show you must own or have legal rights to perform all submitted material. You must have music ready for release are already available on the public domain. Submit an application online along with bio music photos and appropriate fees.

 

How much does it cost to participate?

  • There is a non-refundable $35.00 submission fee. But it does not in any way guarantee music or showcase appearance. ( Fee is subject to change without notice). If such change occurs the new amount will inserted in application and posted at checkout. There's never a cost to appear on Phat Trax Live.

 

 

How is my performance judged?

  • Performances are judged by a panel of judges and casting associates that select talent for each show.

 

What are talent selections based on?

  • Talent selections are based on originality, audience appeal, creativity, and overall skill.

 

How will I find out if I will appear or not?

  • You will be notified via email.

 

Am I responsible for covering my own travel expenses?

Fully paid accommodations are only provided to performers for the shoot date in which the performer(s) are scheduled to appear on the show. (No Exceptions).

 

Where will the show be filmed?

  • The show will be mostly filmed in Los Angeles, California and some instances in Atlanta, Georgia on-site location before a live studio audience.

 

Will I be compensated for appearing on the show?

  • No compensation will be provided for appearing on the show.

How many winners are selected each season?

  • For everyone that is afforded the opportunity to showcase on Phat Trax Live is a winner! This is not a talent competition.

 

Are there any post-production obligations?

  • There are no post-production obligations.

Do I have to sign any restrictive or exclusive contracts?

  • No, you do not have to sign any restricted by exclusive contracts.

 

Who is behind Phat Trax Live?

  • Phat Trax Live is produced by Sho Yo Stuff Productions as fully authorized, wholly-owned and operated by Platinum Hits Entertainment Inc.

 

Can I perform cover songs?

  • No, only original music material will be considered for acceptance. No cover songs.

Does my music have to be copyrighted?

  • Proof of ownership or written permission to use submitted material is required upon request.

 

What if I have minors in my act?

  • Parental consent and supervision is required for all minors.

 

Can I tell people about it?

  • Feel free to tell your family, friends, and fans about your opportunity to perform on Phat Trax Live.
